Full & Partial House Rewires
Old fuses you have to rewire by hand? Cables in rubber or fabric? Too few sockets? Then your home may be due a rewire. It is the biggest electrical job a house ever needs, so we plan it with you first. We go room by room and agree where every socket, switch and light should go.
Highbridge and Burnham have a lot of old railway terraces and seaside houses still on tired wiring. We know these homes and how to get cables through them with as little damage as we can. Floors are covered and each room is cleaned at the end of the day.

Rewires questions, answered
How much does a full rewire cost?
Every house is different, so we price each rewire after seeing it. You get one fixed price in writing before any work starts.
How long does a rewire take?
About one to two weeks for most homes. It depends on the size and whether you are living in it. You get a plan for each day before we start.
Can we stay in the house during a rewire?
Most of the time, yes. We work room by room and try to keep the power on at night. On bigger jobs an empty house can be quicker. We will tell you honestly if that applies.
How do I know if my house needs a rewire?
Signs include old fuses you rewire by hand, rubber or fabric cables, warm sockets and too few sockets. An electrical safety check (EICR) tells you for sure. We never push a rewire you don't need.
